injectors Plus - Performance Fuel Delivery Systems

FAQs

What does “rebuilding” consist of for an injector?
Rebuilding consists of a through sonic cleaning (using positive and negative pressure) of the injector, replacement of the pintle cap, any required spacers, a new 10 micron filter basket with Viton top and bottom O-ring seals. We also perform a flow test on every injector we rebuild to ensure it flows within spec as well as an overnight pressure test to ensure leak free operation.

What are the limits of the high impedance and low impedance injectors?
Our high impedance injectors are up to 80lbs and low impedance injectors are up to 220lbs. These rates are at 43.5lbs (1 bar).

What is the difference between a gasoline and alcohol injector?
As anyone that has used alcohol knows it is very corrosive. The primary difference between a “gasoline” injector and an “alcohol” injector is the internals of the alcohol injectors are stainless steel. “Alcohol” injectors can be used with alcohol, gasoline, natural gas and propane. “Gasoline” injectors should only be used with gasoline.

 Can you modify diesel injectors?
At this time InjectorsPlus is not in the diesel injector market.

Can you modify Mopar Hemi Injectors?
Yes we can. The Hemi motor comes with a Siemens Deka injector specific to the Hemi. The only difference in these injectors is discharge plate.
We can make these injectors flow to 80lbs.

What can be done to modify the replacement GM non-poppet injector to a rate of 36lbs or 42lbs for larger cube or forced induction apps?
2000 and older have the "spider" injector setup which we do carry. That is the only solution for those applications. Conversely, we can do modifications to 2001 and newer which is unique to our services. We can provide injectors that are up to 4X higher in flow that will fit right into those models.

Can 160lb injectors be modified to flow 220lbs?
No they can not be. The internals of the injectors do not allow for the type of modifications that would have to be performed.

Where do the 160lb and 212/220lb injectors come from? Is there an OEM model that has these as original equipment?
The 160lb and 212/220lb injectors are originally designed for natural gas and propane applications.

Can you provide a set of injectors with differing flow rates for use with OEM ECMs?
Yes. If you have problem cylinders we can provide you with a set of injectors that will be identified with an accompanying flow sheet so that you can install the injectors as you require them for your specific needs.
